A Message From Jody

I have been a social activist and a social entrepreneur for many years. In my early career, I was a sports agent at IMG, working with athletes like Jackie Joyner Kersee and Florence Griffth Joyner and representing Zola Budd, Mary Decker, Alberto Salazar, Rob De Castella, Bill Rogers, Ingrid Kristensen, Grete Waitz, and many other runners, track and field athletes, and fitness gurus.

After I left IMG, I came across Paul Newman’s brand, Newman’s Own, and decided to launch the beauty brand, Peacekeeper Cause-Metics, which gave donations to urgent human rights issues. This beautiful brand launched in Henri Bendel & Fred Segal in 2002 and then in Nordstrom and ultimately across the country in 500+ stores. What an amazing journey I was on building a bridge between the funds in the land of plenty and extraordinary women who, just by chance of birth, do not have our access, capital, or privilege.

However, as destiny would happen, on October 22nd, 2012, Hurricane Sandy swept into NYC, filling my warehouse on 4th & Smith in Brooklyn, off the Gowanus River, with five feet of water, flooding all of my inventory, computers, displays and files. It was a business in a blender… and this is when my practice of yoga really kicked in!

Millions of people around the world are now experiencing forced migration and the loss of their home and/or business due to climate change. They are climate refugees without their seemingly secure income and identity, stable place to live, and the stability of their community, which is fundamental to helping them get back on their feet and thrive.

Hurricane Sandy stripped away my activist platform, my passionate identity regarding helping the least among us… as I actually needed help and my strength to try to relaunch the brand. It has been 12 years, and my yoga practices have been my true Northstar, which is why I am now relaunching a beauty brand… but this time focused on the science of consciousness itself.

After Sandy, I started going to the Science & Non-Duality Summits, the Center for Consciousness Studies and other gatherings where neuroscientists, quantum physicists, plant medicine doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, shamans, rabbis, sufi’s, mystics & meditators gathered… to explore consciousness and reality. I started studying more deeply the tradition of Kashmir Shaivism and I started to practice deeply.

It is with this lens that I can now say that I feel that the next great mastery for mankind is the mastery of the mind, intellect & ego and to understand that consciousness creates reality and that we are a trillion cells of vibrating reality everywhere. I am excited and feel so privileged to go on this journey with you.

PS: My beautiful new brand is not being stored anywhere near water!!!! : )
